Tensions are increasing along Turkey and Iraq's shared border over the outlawed PKK, who are fighting for an independent Kurdish homeland.

Turkey has been shelling positions within Iraq where it says the PKK are hiding.

It blames the organisation for a number of attacks on Turkish soil in recent weeks in which several people have died.

Iraq has condemned the shelling and says it is ready to discuss the issue with Turkey.
