Once an intern at the prime minister’s office in Zimbabwe, Dr Farai Shonhiwa is a medical doctor with a Master’s in business from Harvard.

Originally from Zimbabwe, now based in Johannesburg, South Africa, she has helped women in poor communities access affordable maternity services.
She knows the realities of African healthcare delivery, in both the public and the private sectors.
Leadership is not for the squeamish but Dr Shonhiwa ends up a patient herself by episode three in the series.
