Do small farmers still have a future in India?

On Monday, January 25 at 19:30 GMT:
Tens of thousands of Indian farmers continue to occupy roads outside New Delhi to call for the full repeal of farm reforms they believe would favour large agribusiness over small farmers.

Supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi say the liberalisation of India’s agricultural markets is needed to jumpstart production, ensure food security for the nation, and usher in a “Green Revolution 2.0”.

We’ll discuss what needs to be done to truly improve the lives of Indian farmers. Join the conversation.
