Australia’s indigenous refuse to be forgotten on #AnzacDay

Aboriginal activists commemorate sacrifice of their people during national day of remembrance.

While thousands turned out across Australia on Saturday to mark Anzac Day, a World War One anniversary commemoration of the country’s servicemen and women, others took to the streets to highlight the stories of the country’s “forgotten” Aboriginal soldiers.

Australia’s indigenous have served in World War One, among other conflicts, but some say they have not received adequate recognition for their service.
