
Twin church bombings spur unity call in Pakistan
Pakistanis on Twitter say #WeStandWithMinorities and #WeCondemnAttacksOnMinorities after Christians killed.
Sunday’s bombings of two Lahore churches sparked widespread condemnation throughout Pakistan. The suicide attacks left at least 14 dead and 70 wounded. A faction of the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for both attacks. The government vowed to investigate and reiterated its intention to “eradicate terrorism from the country”.
On Twitter, hashtags like #WeStandWithMinorities and #WeCondemnAttacksOnMinorities are calling for national unity and support for the country’s Christian community.
