The next generation of peace leaders
Winners of the International Children’s Peace Prize share how young people can shape the world.
“I want to see a world where every crime against children is accounted for.” That is the wish of 17-year-old Liberian Abraham Keita, winner of the 2015 International Children’s Peace Prize. He was awarded earlier this month for his fight for child victims of physical and sexual violence in his country. Keita now joins ten other exceptional “Youngsters”, or prize winners, whose courageous actions have made a difference in improving children’s rights.
What lessons can children teach us about creating peace and social justice?
