Will a Chinese-backed mega canal change Nicaragua for better or worse?
Protests in Nicaragua are growing in opposition to what could be the biggest engineering project in human history. Driven by a Hong Kong businessman, the canal would cut through the country, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Nicaragua says the $50 billion project will boost the economy.
