YouTube cheers on LGBT athletes with #ProudToPlay campaign
Gay athletes worldwide share stories about their lives in sports.
As athletes and fans head to Brazil for the World Cup, YouTube has launched a campaign in support of LGBT equality in sports.
With the tagline, “Support a world where every athlete can be #ProudtoPlay“, the campaign video has nearly 4 million views and features LGBT athletes and their allies, who say “being gay in sports doesn’t change the way you play the game.”
