The reconstruction of historic warehouses in Recife, Brazil has been halted by protesters who oppose an ongoing government initiative to reshape the city.
The attempted demolition of the José Estelita Pier, scheduled for last week, has led many to voice their opposition online with the hashtags #OcupeEstelita (#OccupyEstelita) and #ResisteEstelita (#ResistEstelita).
