UKIP office flooded with returned campaign flyers

Opponents of right-wing UK party get crafty in response to outreach efforts.

Opponents of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) are returning campaign flyers “Freepost” in an effort to run up the right-wing party’s postal bill ahead of this month’s elections. Critics are angered by the party’s agenda, which they consider to be anti-immigrant.

Individuals can send mail to “Freepost” addresses without postage, leaving recipients to pay the fee. The address used is not listed as “Freepost” on the party’s website, but was reportedly circulated online from a flyer sent in 2010.
