How is the draft telecom bill making Mexicans rethink their access to information?
A proposed telecom law in Mexico has riled free speech activists who say it will give the government too much control over the media and doesn’t do enough to break up telecom monopolies. The government says it is trying to balance information freedom with national security, and is committed to reducing the power of telecom tycoons who control the market.
