Kenyans criticise #MyDressMyChoice march with #NudityIsNotMyChoice

Many rebuke protests supporting woman who was stripped naked for allegedly dressing improperly.

Many Kenyans are calling on women to dress “decently” using the hashtag #NudityIsNotMyChoice, pushing back on the #MyDressMyChoice protests that took place on Monday.

The debate began when video footage of a woman being attacked and stripped naked in Nairobi last week made its way online and left many Kenyans outraged. The woman was seen surrounded by men who assaulted her for allegedly dressing improperly. After the attack was widely condemned online under #MyDressMyChoice, many Kenyans held a miniskirt protest at Uhuru Park in Nairobi on Monday.
