Unions and students mount #socialstrike in Italy

Demonstrations across the country to protest government labour reforms.

Thousands of Italians took to the streets on Friday in a nationwide strike against government reforms. A range of groups, including Italy’s biggest trade union confederation, labour unions, students, migrants and refugees protested the government Jobs Act and numerous austerity measures.
