A first of its kind TV programme examining the role the average citizen played in Nazi Germany is stirring controversy. Airing in March, the three-part miniseries entitled “Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter”, or “Our Mothers, Our Fathers” reached more than seven million viewers.
While many lauded it as a cinematic success, others were bothered by what they viewed as detrimental historical inaccuracies. Below is a fan-made trailer of the show.
