German TV confronts wartime guilt

Television drama reflects on Germany’s Nazi past.

A first of its kind TV programme examining the role the average citizen played in Nazi Germany is stirring controversy. Airing in March, the three-part miniseries entitled “Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter”, or “Our Mothers, Our Fathers” reached more than seven million viewers.
