As a constitutional referendum takes place across Syria on Sunday, activists take to the internet to voice their opposition to the measure, which in theory could end decades of one-party rule. Opposition activists maintain that a free and fair election cannot take place as long as the Syrian military continues to shell cities.
Internet activists are protesting the referendum using the hashtags #ProtestReferendum and #BloodConstitution.
