Activists return to the streets on the anniversary of anti-government protests.
One year after protests began in Bahrain, anti-government activists have once again taken to the streets.
On Tuesday, security forces fired tear gas at protesters attempting to march in Manama’s Pearl roundabout, which was the epicenter of last year’s protests. Smaller demonstrations also occurred in various villages, while security forces took positions in Manama and other locations to prevent the opposition from staging a mass rally.
