The race for sailing’s most prestigious prize – The America’s Cup – begins on Saturday.

Alinghi shocked the yachting world in 2003 by winning The Auld Mug on their debut.

Now the Swiss team must contend with the pressure of defending the cup as they face a rematch with fierce rivals Team New Zealand.

Sportsworld’s Carrie Brown went inside Alinghi to find out how the crew are coping with the weight of expectation.

Home to scores of prominent freedom fighters it was the scene of many anti-apartheid rallies – among them the 1976 Soweto riots.

Recently, the townships have again drawn international attention – only this time for a race, rather than a rally.
