How can the International Cricket Council protect the integrity of the game?
Cricket appears to be losing its reputation as a “gentleman’s game” with another corruption scandal, this time involving members of the Pakistani cricket team touring the UK.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended Pakistani test team captain Salman Butt, fast-bowlers Mohammed Asif and Mohammed Amir for allegedly taking bribes from bookmakers during last month’s test match against the UK in London.
They are accused of delivering no-balls at pre-determined times to increase profits for betting syndicates.

A British newspaper broke the story after secretly filming a London-based businessman accurately predicting when those no-balls would be bowled.
