The 2008 US presidential election is being billed as one of the most historic and significant elections in modern American history.

So how does an individual decide how to cast their ballot?

As part of our continuing special coverage of the 2008 Democratic Convention, the Riz Khan show will speak to voters from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds and ask them what matters most to their communities when deciding on a president.

Joining us from Denver will be Ira Forman, the president of the National Jewish Democratic Council, Mahinder Tak of Asian Americans for Obama, and Maram Abdel-Hamid, a political organiser for the Arab-American community.

We will ask what role foreign policy, civil rights and the economy play when their communities go to the polls.
