Pascal Lamy speaks with Riz about the divisions that exist between trading nations [EPA]

Six years of road blocks and entrenched positions is how many critics of the World Trade Organisation see the Doha Round of trade talks.

Since that meeting in 2001, agricultural subsidies and trade tariffs have largely been the sticking points holding back an agreement.

Is there any hope of movement?

On Wednesday’s Riz Khan we speak with the Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Pascal Lamy, and ask him about the divisions that exist between trading nations and whether or not 2008 is the year for a final deal to be signed.
