On Monday, Riz speaks with award-winning actor and activist Danny Glover about his new film, Bamako. The plot revolves around a mock trial that pits the people of Bamako, the capital of Mali, against the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The poorest of the poor have not seen the benefits of globalisation, and in the fictional film, they attempt to hold someone accountable for creating such hardship in Africa.

Glover serves as chairman of the board of TransAfrica Forum, an African-American human rights and social justice advocacy organisation promoting diversity and equity in the foreign policy arena and justice for the African world.

Glover is also a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from Amnesty International.

Bamako co-executive producer Joslyn Barnes will also join the discussion.
