On Monday, Riz speaks with two leading Palestinian intellectuals for a different perspective on the current crisis.
Dr Sari Nusseibeh, the president of Al Quds University and a lecturer in philosophy, joins us from Jerusalem.
Long considered a moderate who was willing to compromise on the issues of territory and refugees in order to achieve real independence for the Palestinian people, he is also the former Palestinian National Authority representative for Jerusalem.
Joining the programme from London is Dr Ghada Karmi.
Dr Karmi’s first profession was medicine but she is also known as one of the most eloquent commentators on the Palestinian issue.
She is currently a lecturer at the University of Exeter’s Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies and has written In Search of Fatima: A Palestinian Story and, most recently, Married to Another Man: Israel’s Dilemma in Palestine.
We ask our guests, what is left of the Palestinian dream?
