Anand Naidoo is filling in for Riz Khan.

On Tuesday Anand Naidoo speaks to Pulitzer Prize winning author Lawrence Wright.

Wright is best known for his Pulitzer Prize winning book, The Looming Tower: Al Qaeda and the Road to 9/11. It is frequently referenced as a source of background information on Al Qaeda and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Wright also co-wrote the screenplay for the film “The Siege”, which anticipated many of the conditions of the post-9/11 world, including the alleged loss of civil liberties in the response to terrorism, terrorist bombings in New York City, alleged torture as a response to terrorism, independent cells of terrorists, and the inability to identify quickly or easily enough the non-state actors engaged in terrorism on American soil.

In 2006 Wright premiered his one man show, “My Trip to Al Qaeda” which details the development of Islamic radicalism and intertwines deeply researched, firsthand testimonies with slides and video clips.

Join Anand as he speaks to Wright about his journey into Al Qaeda and his opinions on the future of the terrorist group.
