The Egyptian actress talks about her long-standing career in film and television.

Award-winning actress Ilham Shaheen was born in Cairo, Egypt and is one of the most popular Egyptian actresses to-date. She began her acting career in theatre arts after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Art from the Institution of Theatrical Arts.

Her introduction to the public spotlight was widely received and during the next ten years she made over 30 films, including the critically-acclaimed Dantilla.

Ilham Shaheen also stars in a variety of television drama series and continues to travel extensively across the Arab region sharing the arts.
