“My name is Awadh Ahmed. I started singing when I was seven years old. I started to sing old songs, just like any other singer. Then, I started to sing on the radio in 1961.
I have sung many songs on the radio, and then on TV. I’ve also composed many melodies for some singers, such as al-Atrosh, Soud Ahmed Saleh, Bin Shamekh, Ahmed Qassim, al-Murshidi, Mohamed Saad Abdullah … excuse me, if I have not mentioned all of them now.”
