DR Congo’s M23 rebels threaten ‘march’ to capital city
M23 rebels have vowed to fight all the way to the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s capital.
The Rwanda-backed rebels taking over territory in DR Congo have vowed to continue their fight all the way to the capital Kinshasa, where the country’s president has called for new recruits in the battle against them.
CLARIFICATION: M23 fighters are largely Congolese ethnic Tutsis. The group is not predominantly comprised of refugees who fled the genocide in Rwanda.
