US marine Whelan says he’s ‘ecstatic’ to be free

Freed US marine Paul Whelan told Al Jazeera he was ‘ecstatic’ after landing in the US along with journalists Evan Gershkovich and Alsu Kurmasheva, under a prisoner swap between Western countries and Russia.
