How to stop racism in football?

UK prime minister has promised to ban from stadiums people who racially abuse footballers online.

Last Sunday’s Euro Championship final was meant to be a unifying moment for England, which reached that stage for the first time in 55 years.

Instead, three Black players who helped achieve the accomplishment faced a barrage of racial abuse from fans online after missing penalties.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged to ban those who racially abuse footballers from stadiums for up to 10 years. He also threatened to fine tech companies if they fail to prevent racist content appearing on their platforms.

So why is the abuse happening now?
