Now the country with the world’s second biggest population is recording nearly 300,000 new COVID-19 cases every day.

The region around its capital New Delhi is going into a week-long curfew as hospitals run out of beds and oxygen.

India, the world’s largest vaccine maker, is now limiting exports of jabs to the United Nations-backed COVAX scheme for developing nations.

So, what is the impact on the rest of the world if India cannot get its second wave under control?
