Could Myanmar’s military stage a coup?
Myanmar’s military leaders have discredited November’s election results with unfounded claims of fraud.
Fears are growing of a military coup in Myanmar.
Ever since the National League for Democracy’s landslide win in November’s election, military leaders have discredited the results with unfounded claims of fraud.
Last week, the top general suggested abolishing the constitution.
As several nations and the United Nations issued warnings, the army said the comments were taken out of context and insisted it will abide by the law.
So, is the military truly willing to cede power, a decade into Myanmar’s transition to democracy?
