A new report by Swiss bank UBS says the richest elite have done “extremely well” during the crisis.
Meanwhile, millions of people are losing their jobs or struggling to cope.
Another report by the World Bank expects extreme poverty to rise this year for the first time in more than 20 years.
Up to 115 million people could be pushed into that category, living on less than $2 a day. The stark findings come amid rising concerns the coronavirus crisis is going to deepen yawning income inequalities.
So, could this disparity fuel more public anger?
