The Central Committee of China’s governing Communist Party has announced its plans for the next 15 years, agreeing to increase Beijing’s political, economic and military influence.
But despite facing an unprecedented global health crisis and rising unemployment, they have endorsed President Xi Jinping as the man who will steer China through the challenges ahead.
