What’s next for Venezuela’s political crisis?
Can the political stalemate in Venezuela be resolved?
US Vice President Mike Pence says America will stand by Venezuela’s opposition leader Juan Guaido “until liberty is restored.”
His message came when the two men met in Colombia at a gathering of regional countries. They’re looking for a way to get President Nicolas Maduro to step down.
But Maduro’s refusing to go, and accuses the U.S. of wanting to start a war in South America.
The UN Security Council, meanwhile, is holding another emergency session to discuss the month-long crisis.
So what needs to happen next to break the stalemate?
