In the last 10 years, India has moved from sluggish development to economic success story – and now it is offering infrastructure to some of Africa’s poorest nations to boost their development.
As it looks for new sources of energy, India is more interested in Africa. Now Delhi is hosting the first India-Africa summit aimed at strengthening trade and diplomatic ties between India and Africa.
India is also said to be trying to counter the influence of China, which is building ties with African countries that are traditionally close to India.
We ask what does India have to offer and would African leaders prefer the Indian example of development to the Chinese or other western models?
