Muslim leaders, meeting at last week’s OIC summit, have put together a plan to counter the phenomenon.
Accused of being nothing more than a talking shop, many question whether the body of over 50 Muslim states can actually do this.
Inside Story investigates how serious the problem of Islamophobia is, and whether Muslim countries can work together to eradicate it.
