George Bush, the US president, arrives in Israel on Wednesday in a bid to bolster peace efforts between Israelis and Palestinians before he leaves office next year.
Bush has been the first US president to advocate a two state solution, which he already mentioned in 2002.
Inside Story discusses how realistic the chances are of having two states within a year after 60 years of conflict.
