A year after the war with Israel, Lebanon remains crippled by violence and political deadlock, with a deepening rift between its pro- and anti-Syrian factions.
Now members of 14 of its political groupings are due to meet in Paris at the weekend with a view to making inroads into resolving their differences.
Can the talks achieve anything?
