As the Israeli Labour Party elects a new leader and the Knesset votes on the next Israeli president, Inside Story considers what difference the changes at the top might mean for Israel and the wider Middle East peace process.
What future now for Israel’s embattled Prime Minister Olmert and can his coalition hold?
The programme also considers the leaked confidential report from the outgoing UN Middle East envoy Alvaro de Soto who says American support for Israel has hindered efforts to reach a Middle East peace deal.
