The Stream

#BlackOnCampus

After one US University president is forced to resign over anti-racism protests, what does it mean for similar movements across the country?

Students across the US are protesting what they feel are inadequate responses to racism by their University administrations. Demonstrations at the University of Missouri led to the resignation of the school’s President earlier this week, and tensions elsewhere – such as Yale University and Ithaca College – are high. As the movement grows, how much power do these students hold?
