Igniting change through innovation

Is pedal power the future of electricity? Manoj Bhargava, the man behind the Free Electric bicycle thinks so. One hour of pedaling his battery-equipped stationary bike will keep lights and basic appliances going for an entire day. It’s all part of his plan to change the world through innovation. 
 

At Bhargava’s Stage 2 lab, he and fellow inventors, are working on a number of practical inventions they say will address some of the most significant problems facing billions around the globe. In addition to the bicycle, his Rain Maker converts 1,000 gallons an hour of water- including sea or polluted water- into water suitable for agriculture and drinking. There’s also Renew ECP that promotes blood flow, by externally pumping blood through the body, acting as an auxiliary heart. All Bhargava’s innovations use technology that already exists, some would say it’s even outdated, but he’s creating new ways of using it.
