Artist James Bridle recently tried to photograph all of the closed-circuit television cameras around the edge of central London’s busy Congestion Zone. Bridle says he was stopped by police midway through working on his project, titled The Nor, but still found 472 cameras over the area he searched. The artist shared photos from his project on Flickr.

In addition to the photo gallery, Bridle also created a heat map showing the concentration of cameras he found.
