Historic Kashmir trade link opens

India and Pakistan have opened a historic trade link across divided Kashmir for the first time in six decades.
Following the truce in 2003 and peace talks in 2004, relations between India and Pakistan over Kashmir have slowly improved.
On Tuesday, fourteen Pakistani lorries carrying rice, onions and dried fruit, crossed into Indian Kashmir, while vehicles from India carried goods in the opposite direction.
Inside Story asks if the creation of trade links between the two sides is a case of confidence building or an example of placing the responsibility for resolving the Kashmir issue on the civil society of both sides.
