Are men intimidated by smart women?

According to one study in the United States, they are.

On Thursday Riz speaks to Dr Ray Fisman, a professor of economics at Columbia University and an expert on gender differences. For two years Fisman and his team conducted a speed dating experiment looking at the choices men and women make when looking for a partner.

Results showed women put greater weight on the intelligence and race of the partner, while men responded more to physical attractiveness. They also found that men do not value women’s intelligence or ambition when it exceeds their own.

Recently this study has been making waves in the American media with pundits weighing in with their opinions. We go straight to the man who put together the study and get some interesting answers.
