Lebanon’s Maronite Christians have traditionally been allies of the West and sought French or American support. But with some Maronites now favouring Arab affiliation, a division seems to have emerged among them.
Inside Story asks if Western influence in Lebanon is waning or whether the country will continue to be a battle field for foreign powers.
