Iraq’s neigbours pledge support
But what can those who attended the Istanbul conference really do to help Iraq?

The so-called Iraq neighbours conference, held in Istanbul, has ended with the participating countries pledging support to the Iraqi government.
More than 20 ministers and other top officials from Iraq’s neighbours and major world powers gathered at the Istanbul meeting, which followed on from another conference held in May in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
The conference, which was meant to focus on security inside Iraq, was largely overshadowed by tensions between Turkey and Iraq over the ongoing attacks by the PKK.
Can the countries that have pledged support really help Iraq? And, if so, how?
