Gender inequality: The economic effect of the pandemic on women

Women’s jobs are 1.8 times more vulnerable to this crisis. The global economy could suffer trillions in lost output.

The pandemic has not been kind to low-income workers in the industrialised or developing world, and recovery has not been inclusive. This week, we want to concentrate on the extraordinary and disproportionate effect on women at all income levels.
