Syrian rebels seize Hama checkpoints

Opposition fighters take control over two army checkpoints in bid to enter city from the north.

    Syrian rebels have seized control over two army checkpoints on the outskirts of Hama on Tuesday.

    The coalition of opposition fighters is trying to enter Hama from the north.

    The development came as government forces bombarded residential areas in the city that were protest hubs.
