Gazans face fuel shortage

Supplies running low after Egypt closes down tunnels used to smuggle goods and circumvent Israeli sanctions.

    Shortages of some basic goods occur in Gaza frequently due to Israeli sanctions.

    For weeks fuel supplies have been running out in the Palestinian territory, posing a new challenge for residents.

    The shortage came after tunnels that were widely used to smuggle goods are being shut down by the Egyptian military.

    Al Jazeera's Simon McGregor-Wood reports from Gaza.
