Gaza al-Quds hospital to be rebuilt

Netanyahu agrees to French request to rebuild al-Quds hospital destroyed by Israeli forces.

Netanyahu told Sarkozy he would order the Israeli defence ministry to allow building materials, such as concrete, to be allowed into the Strip, so as to facilitate the reconstruction.

Israel has limited the import of such material into the enclave which remains under an Israeli siege.

The reconstruction of the hospital is being undertaken by France and Qatar.

Israel's war on Hamas-run Gaza left about 1,400 Palestinians dead, according to figures from Palestinian medics and human rights organisations, and 13 Israelis.
